Typo 5.0.x Released
Happy New Year!
After what seems like a year of inactivity (though they claim just seven months), the Typo team has released a brand-spanking-new version of the original open-source Rails blogging app (now at 5.0.1). When I first started getting into Rails, Typo was the blogging app to use, but Mephisto quickly gained marketshare, and is now used by everybody and their mother.
In fact, I only found out about the new Typo while I was investigating the Scribbish theme and wondered if Typosphere ever got launched when I saw the link. I subscribe to about 70 Rails blogs and none of them mentioned it. It looks like the Typo team has great features in store for 5.1, but I wouldn’t hold my breath waiting for that release to come out…
