Conservative Technologists Blame Everyone But Themselves

If you follow the topic of politics on the Tubes, you probably heard of RedState’s hilarious appeal for $25,000 to build a new website. Erick Erickson blamed the liberals for this:

If we’d been a liberal website, we would have been able to fix the problem quickly and relatively cheaply. The online left loves [the content management system] Scoop. Unfortunately, there weren’t really any conservative Scoop developers out there to help us.

Yesterday, conservative blogger/technologist/bully Mike Turk whined about Fred Thompson not being declared to “win” over John McCain in Iowa. Thompson and McCain, of course, finished third and fourth, well behind actual winner Mike Huckabee. Because the difference between Thompson and McCain was a whopping 0.3% (and 21% below actual winner Mike Huckabee), some media outlets considered Thompson and McCain tied for third place. That’s a fair observation, as they were separated by a mere 345 votes out of over 110,000 cast. And somehow according to Turk, the liberal media is responsible for Thompson’s pathetic campaign, because they didn’t declare him to be the winner over John McCain.

Oh yeah, did I mention that this was for “winner” of third place, two spots behind actual winner Mike Huckabee?
